A trained physiotherapist, Olivier Greisch practises microkinesitherapy, a gentle manual approach that aims to stimulate the body's natural self-regulating abilities.
Microkinesitherapy is based on the idea that certain stresses (trauma, emotional stress, infections, environmental shocks) can leave a ‘trace’ in the tissues when the body is unable to fully integrate them. Using a specific micro-palpatory technique, the practitioner identifies these areas and stimulates the body's self-correcting mechanisms.
This non-invasive approach is suitable for all ages, particularly infants and young children, for whom it can help with functional disorders such as colic, regurgitation, sleep disorders or birth-related tension.
Microkinesitherapy can also help adults with musculoskeletal pain, functional digestive disorders, chronic fatigue, and certain stress conditions.
Olivier regularly continues his training in order to keep up with developments in this constantly evolving discipline.
Microkinesitherapy & pregnancy
Pregnancy causes major changes in the body: hormonal changes, postural adjustments, ligament and muscle tension, digestive changes and increased fatigue.
Microkinesitherapy is a gentle, non-invasive manual approach that aims to support the body's natural self-regulating abilities in response to these changes.
During pregnancy, it can accompany lower back or pelvic pain, tension related to postural adjustments, certain functional digestive discomforts, or persistent fatigue.
In the postpartum period, it can contribute to overall recovery after childbirth, complementing medical follow-up and perineal rehabilitation.
This approach is part of a coordinated care programme for pregnant women, with the aim of gently supporting the body's adaptation processes without manipulation.
